In the ZIQNI platform, a message is a method of communication with users. Messages can be sent to groups of users or indvidual users. Once created, messages can only be viewed or deleted, not edited. Notifications are pop ups that are dispalyed for a set period of time and then will disappear.

At ZIQNI creating messages and notifications is quick and easy.
From the dashboard, click on Messaging.
From here the search/ create page will load.
- Click create to create a new message/ notification.
The create page will now load.
- Choose the messgae type from the drop down menu ( Options are Notification, Inbox, Notification of Inbox item)
- Add the subject line.
- Compose the body of the message/ notification.
- Use the drop down menu to select the status of the messgae ( New or Draft).
- Add any tags you want included.
- Add any member tags you want to use filter the messgae to particular groups.
- Include the member ids you want the messga eto be sent to.
- Choose the number of days the messgae is valid, after this time the message will automtically expire and will be deleted from the Inbox.
- Inlude any additional information using meta data fields.
- Click Next to move to the next page.
- Using the drop down calendar, choose the start and end date for the message.
- Pick the schedule type from the option list, this is how many times the messgae will be sent within the given start and finish dates.
- Click Next to move onto the next page of the creation process.
- Choose the langauge to translate the message into. If the translation is not completed, the laguage will have a pick ! as an alert. Once the translation has been completed, this will change to a green check mark.
- Click next to load the next page.
- Summary page will now load.
- Move between the tabs at the top of the page to make any necessary changes if required.
- If all information entered is correct, click on Finish. The message is now created and can no longer be edited, only deleted.
